Posted by The men’s college basketball title race is heating up and the odds are telling the story as it all unfolds.
The UConn Huskies have moved past the Purdue Boilermakers and now the teams are co-favorites at +800 to win it all. The Huskies were +900 at the beginning of last week and Purdue was +700.
Uconn is 20-2 on the season and its most recent win was a 77-64 victory over St. John’s on Feb. 3. Purdue is 21-2 and first in the Big Ten. The Boilermakers’ most recent win was a 75-69 victory over No. 6 Wisconsin on Feb. 4.
Third on the board are the Houston Cougars, who stayed put at +900 after their 78-65 loss to No. 8 Kansas over the weekend.

FOX Sports basketball writer Michael Cohen wrote about the impact of UConn’s big win over St. John’s.
“In beating St. John’s, the Huskies notched their 10th consecutive win to remain the clear-cut favorites in the Big East, where they have a two-game advantage over Marquette in the loss column. Hurley’s team should remain at No. 1 in the AP Top 25 poll this week ahead of a tricky home date with Butler on Tuesday. The Bulldogs knocked off No. 13 Creighton last week to claim a fourth straight victory.”
Taking a tumble were the Wisconsin Badgers, whose odds fell to +3500 from +2500 after getting beat by the Boilermakers.
